CALL FOR PAPERS

The Graduate Program in Communication and Consumer Practices at ESPM (PPGCOM-ESPM) invites researchers and students in the field of communication and related areas to submit papers for the 10th Meeting of Graduate Working Groups and the 6th Meeting of Undergraduate Working Groups in Communication and Consumption. The meetings will be held in a hybrid format at ESPM, São Paulo, from October 14th to 16th, 2025. The deadline for submitting papers is August 11th, 2025.

In 2025, the event will be held in a hybrid format: each author must choose, at the time of submission, whether to present the work in person or online.

The evaluation of submitted papers is carried out through a double-blind review system (without author identification). Each WG will have external peer reviewers, in addition to its coordinator. Proposals that do not adhere to the templates or exceed the character limits will be automatically rejected.

Publication in the proceedings is optional. The author will have the option to choose during the submission process.

The 10th Meeting of Graduate Working Groups accepts submissions from Master's students, Master's degree holders, Doctoral students, and PhD holders in communication and related areas. Papers can have a maximum of three authors: one main author and two co-authors. Each researcher can sign as the main author of only one paper and participate as a co-author in only one other paper.

FULL PAPERS written in Portuguese, English, or Spanish will be accepted. The papers must be original (not submitted to academic publications or presented at other events), address the articulation between communication and consumption, and especially meet the objectives and the syllabus of each Working Group (WG). They must have a minimum of 12 and a maximum of 15 pages in length, following the event's template instructions.

The 6th Meeting of Undergraduate Working Groups accepts submissions from undergraduate students, graduates, and specialists in communication and related areas. Papers containing results of completed or ongoing research, scientific initiation projects, undergraduate thesis, or course papers will be accepted.

Submitted papers should address the interfaces between communication and consumption, articulated with cross-cutting themes, for example: communication, consumption and journalism; communication, consumption and advertising; communication, consumption and design; communication, consumption and public relations; communication consumption games, among others.
