The 1st International Congress on Solidarity Economy and Social Reintegration in Mental Health, selected as one of the six proposals approved under Public Call CNPq No. 12/2024, will take place in Cuiabá on June 30 and July 1–2, with online broadcasting and thematic workshops held at regional support centers. The city, known for its rich culture and the hospitality of its people, will host researchers, healthcare professionals, public administrators, and representatives of cooperatives to discuss topics such as personal autonomy, cooperatives, work reintegration, community and leisure centers, and psychosocial care.
This large-scale meeting aims to promote the exchange of experiences and the development of new strategies for the social reintegration of people with mental disorders, strengthening the solidarity economy and psychosocial care in Brazil and other countries. The congress proposes a space for dialogue and reflection on the various dimensions of mental health, with a focus on promoting autonomy, quality of life, and social inclusion. Activities will be held at the Federal University of Mato Grosso's theater and will feature the participation of renowned specialists in the field, who will present their work and discuss the main challenges and advances in mental health.
