The objective was to analyze the Brazilian Holocaust and its relationship with the constitutional law in force in Brazil. This is a qualitative bibliographical and documentary study based on a documentary about the Brazilian Holocaust, the 1988 Federal Constitution and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UN, 1948). As a theoretical contribution, it was based on Mendz; Arbex (2019); Ratton (1979); Arbex (2011), which address the holocaust that took place in the Colony Hospital of Barbacena-MG; and the studies of Oliveira (2018) and Sarmento (2016) on rights and dignity of the human person. Among the findings were acts of oppression and torture in the Colony, which violated the principle of human dignity and fundamental human rights and the Brazilian Constitution.
