Pharmaceutical Industries requires compounds efficient in therapeutics and easier to be prepared. Short synthetic pathways and selective methods to prepare enantiopure drugs in high yields have been the main focus in industry. Asymmetric organocatalysis, through the use of chiral catalysts, is presented as a strategy interesting to obtaining chiral compounds of pharmaceutical interest. Thus, we aim develop an asymmetric methodology to obtain enantioenriched compounds using a new catalyst based on thiazolidine/oxazolidine and thiourea 1. To obtain enantiomerically pure chiral Michael aducts 3 we planned to performing Michael Reaction from different carbonyl compounds 2, such as cyclohexanone and different ketones, and a family of previously prepared Chalcones 5. Furthermore, the catalyst is new in the literature and its application too. This asymmetric methodology purpose meets interests in the academy and also in the industry.
