USO DO ELASTIC NET COMO FERRAMENTA DE PREDIÇÃO DE CARACTERÍSTICAS QUANTITATIVAS DE CORDEIROS

The aim of this study was to evaluate tha elastic net aplicattion to predict quantitative features of hair sheep lambs. The experiment was carried out at the Federal Institute of Pará, Castanhal. Data from 64 male and castrated lambs were used. The variables used were images descriptors obtained through Video Image Analysis (VIA) of the lateral view, totaling 16 descriptors, the elastic net was able to predict with satisfatory results weights and yield, cold carcass weight (PCF) got the best values for metrics used.
