Resumo

was aimed at the use of thermography, to identify lesions of pododermatitis in broilers, raised on two types of bed and two densities. A total of 216 broiler chicks were distributed in a completely randomized experimental design, in a factorial arrangement, with two types of bed and two densities, with four treatments and six replicates. The values of the surface temperatures maximum, minimum and the thermal amplitude of the plantar cushion of the feet of broiler chickens from 28 to 42 days of age were evaluated. There was no interaction between bed types and different densities for maximum, minimum and thermal amplitude. However, the minimum temperature and the thermal amplitude were influenced by bed types and densities, with no effect on the maximum temperature. The use of thermography showed that broiler chickens reared on the bed of rice straw and density of 30 kg / m² showed signs of pododermatitis lesions.
