TEOR DE PROTEÍNA BRUTA DO CAPIM MOMBAÇA EM FUNÇÃO DA ADUBAÇÃO NITROGENADA BASEADA NO USO DO CLOROFILÔMETRO

Abstract: Brazilian cattle breeding is widely practiced in pastures, and nitrogen (N) is a limiting macronutrient in its productivity and protein concentration. In order to obtain nitrogen fertilization efficiency, the objective of this work was to propose a management of the fertilization from the N sufficiency index (NSI) obtained by the digital chlorophyllometer. The study was conducted in a dystrophic RED LATOSOLO, in a randomized block design, with six N rates. A 150 kg ha-1 of N was applied to each cut, at the recommended 50 kg ha-1 and 50 kg ha-1 N when the ISN <98% ISN <94%, ISN <90% and the control treatment, without application of N. The productivity, protein level and protein accumulated in the cycle were measured. It was possible to observe that nitrogen fertilization did not affect the average protein content. The control treatment presented lower amount of mass and protein, and the ISN 98 provided greater mass and quantitative volume of protein.
