Resumo

In Brazil cattle breeders mostly adopt zebu cattle, which may be
known to have a slightly higher reactivity to management. This reactivity can be
measured and even mitigated. One option is to provide homeopathic products to
reduce stress. Thus, the temperament of Nellore cattle in confinement was evaluated
by performing different reactivity tests during the ninety days of confinement. The
animals were divided in two groups, being one control group and the other
homeopathic group, the reactivity tests were performed every thirty days in the corral
of rational management. The data was tabulated in the Microsoft Office Excel
program. Statistical analysis was performed using the PROC GLM procedure to
perform the analysis of variance (Test F). By analyzing the data obtained in the tests,
we were able to observe that in relation to (EC) and (RED), no statistical difference
was found between the groups, but when the tests of (TS) and (VS) were performed
homoeopathic group showed a lower reactivity. Therefore the group that came to
receive the homeopathic treatment showed an improvement in their temperament,
thus proving the effectiveness of the homeopathic nucleus.
