RELAÇÃO FOLHA, COLMO E MATERIAL MORTO DO CAPIM ELEFANTE EM FUNÇÃO DA ADUBAÇÃO COM UREIA E CAMA DE FRANGO

The objective of this work was to evaluate the productivity and leaf / stem ratio of elephantgrass (Pennisetum purpureum Schum). Subjected to two types of nitrogen fertilization, both in synthetic form and in organic form. The research was developed in a private property located in the Municipality of Botucatu / SP. The cuts were performed every 42 days and the area was evaluated during 3 months of experiment. The treatments used were: T1 - bed of chicken at the dose of 8 tons per ha; T2 - bed of chicken in dosage of 8 tons per ha; T3 - urea at the dosage of 70 kg of nitrogen (N) per ha. The experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design, with significance level (P <0.05). There were no significant differences in leaf / stem ratio and productivity between treatments. With only difference in the production of senescent material in the second cut, however. It is concluded that the chicken bed is viable in substitution of urea and that it should be applied in a single time
