Resumo

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of soil fertilization on the production of total dry matter (MST) and distribution of its components in Marandú grass managed with different interception rates of photosynthetically active radiation (IRFA). The Factorial experimental design was completely randomized (4 fertilizations x 3 IRFA) and had three replications. he IRFA management of 90% was more advantageous to reduce the recovery period of the pasture after the forage crop. In this IRFA index, fertilization at the HIGH level reduced the recovery time by 7 days, but the use of this practice should be evaluated due to the increment of cost with fertilizer acquisition.
