Resumo

The present research had as objective to evaluate the occurrence of reproductive pathologies in dogs treated during a period of 3 years in a veterinary hospital in the North of Minas Gerais. The data referring to the incidence and dependence of the various diseases according to sex, race, age, treatment and prognosis were submitted to descriptive analysis using the chi-square test at the 5% level of significance using RStudio software. The results showed a higher frequency of care for female dogs (87.5%) and non - breed dogs (39.29%). The most prevalent age was adult, with 3 to 10 years (60.16%). Mammary neoplasia (42.45%) followed by pyometra (23.44%) and transmissible venereal tumor (TVT-16,93) were the most frequent diseases. The favorable and reserved prognoses were the most reported in 49.19% and 49.73% of the cases, respectively. The most used treatments were surgery (37.24%) and antibiotic therapy (27.60%). Therefore, it is concluded that, in the canine species, females are more frequently affected, with pyometra being more prevalent during adulthood (3 to 10 years) and the predominant neoplasia in dogs with no defined breed, followed by poodle breed.
