Resumo

Expeller soybean meal can be used as a protein supplement in the dairy cow's diet. However, its effects on ruminal degradation kinetics have not yet been elucidated. Thus, the aim was to evaluate the in vitro ruminal kinetics of the conventional soybean meal and expeller soybean. The ruminal kinetics was carried out in Laboratório de Parasitologia from Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná, campus Dois Vizinhos. The pressure and volume readings were performed after 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 24, 30, 36, 48 and 72 hours, after the results obtained, a mathematical model was applied to estimate ruminal kinetics in vitro and these calculations were performed by the NLIN of the statistical program SAS. When comparing the kinetics parameters, it was found that the soybean meal expeller presents a lower degradation compared to conventional soybean meal, demonstrating characteristics of having by-pass protein and high value of PNDR.
