Resumo

One of the main limitations of the production of fodder in quantity and quality is nitrogen (N), in order to potentiate its effects and to provide the same alternative to the chemical fertilizer, the grass consortium is used with legumes such as pigeon pea of the nutrient cycling promoted by them. The objective of this study was to evaluate the macronutrient extraction by single paiaguá grass and consortium with pigeon pea, submitted to nitrogen doses. The treatments consisted of two types of pasture (paiaguás grass with pigeon pea and single paigua grass) and four doses of N in the form of ammonium sulphate applied in cover (0, 80, 160 and 240 kg ha-1 ) . It was evaluated the total extraction of macronutrients by paiaguás grass, during one year, by the sum of four cuts. The consortium influenced the extraction of N, P and K with greater extraction in the consortium system. The N extraction in the single system occurred with the dose of 234 kg ha-1 and in the single the response was linear. The extractions of P, S and C were linear as a function of the doses of N applied.
