EFICIÊNCIA DA AVALIAÇÃO VISUAL VERSUS UTILIZAÇÃO DE ADESIVO DETECTOR DO ESTRO E RESPOSTA NA TAXA DE PRENHEZ DE FÊMEAS NELORE

The experiment evaluated the efficiency of Boviflag® in Nellore females, submitted to fixed-AI protocol, compared to visual observation of estrus through pregnancy rate. The estrus was evaluated visually or by the Boviflag®. The pregnancy rate was performed by the transrectal ultrasonography 30 days of AI. Statistical analyzes were performed using the GraphPad Prisma software, two-way ANOVA, and the contingency test (Chi-square and Fisher) at 5% significance. The number of animals with the presence or absence of adhesive did not differ (p>0.05) among pregnant or non-pregnat females submitted to the treatments. Therefore, the device can be used as an auxiliary method for the detection of estrus.
