Resumo

The aim of this study were to verify the influence of the effects of farm and month of the records on packed cell volumes(PCV), total plasma protein(TPP) and egg count per gram of feces(EPG) in Santa Inês sheep. The effects of farm and month were tested over the response variables(P<0.05) using repeated measure models by the MIXED procedure of the SAS, and the association between the response variables were measured using Pearson correlation which were estimated by the SAS CORR procedure. The month of September had the lowest values of PCV(25.40±0.00) and TPP(5.91±0.07) and higher EPG value(2117.21±416.50). The correlation between PCV and EPG was -0.1021, between TPP and EPG was -0.2466 and between PCV and TPP was 0.2165. The effect of month of the records was significant(P<0.05) over TPP, EPG and PCV. PCV was also influenced by the farm effect(P<0.05). The estimates of correlation between PCV and EPG, TPP and EPG were negative indicating that when EPG increases, PCV and TPP decreases.
