EFEITO DO USO DE LEVEDURA AUTOLISADA SOBRE A DIGETSIBILIDADE APARENTE DA DIETA DE NOVILHOS EM FASE DE TERMINAÇÃO

The use of prebiotics in ruminant feeding has become an alternative, since they are additives that in addition to decreasing the entry of pathogens by the digestive tract, can bring more benefits related to the performance. The use of yeasts Sacchariomyces cerevisae as an additive in the diet of ruminants has been used for years, has great supply in the market and several presentations. It was used as experimental material 36 whole steers ½ Angus Nelore, the experimental design was randomized blocks, consisting of two treatments, diet without autolysed yeast and diet with autolysed yeast (7g animal day-1). Animals supplemented with yeast showed no difference in relation to the control in the item production of feces, and there was also no statistical difference in the total dry matter of the feces. However, animals in the control group obtained a lower result in the apparent digestibility of dry matter, showing the efficacy of autolysed yeast in the aprovement of on the diet.
