EFEITO DA SUPLEMENTAÇÃO DE CORDEIROS COM UREIA EXTRUSADA NAS CARACTERÍSTICAS ESTRUTURAIS DO PASTO

The objective of this work was to evaluate the forage accumulation and the structural characteristics of Brachiaria spp. grazed by lambs supplemented with increasing levels of extruded urea. The treatments corresponded to five levels of extruded urea replacement (0, 6, 12, 18 and 24 grams of amyria / 100 kg of body weight). Twelve lambs were used for each treatment, kept in continuous grazing in Brachiaria spp. and supplemented to the level of 1.6% of live weight. Grass height, forage mass (MP), forage accumulation rate (FAR), leaf mass (FML), stem (CM) and dead material (MMM) and leaf: stem ratio and life: dead. Canopy height linearly responded to urea stress levels. The increasing linear effect was observed for MC (P = 0.0155). As for the leaf blade: stem (P = 0.0349), there was a linear decreasing effect. The structural characteristics of pasture are influenced by the increase of extruded urea levels in the diet of lambs.
