EFEITO DA PROGRAMAÇÃO FETAL SOBRE O PESO E O DESEMPENHO DE BEZERROS NELORE

The objective of the present study was to evaluate the influence of fetal programming on body weight (BW) and average daily gain (ADG) of Nellore calves. A total of 125 calves born to cows were divided into three different nutritional protocols for fetal programming. ADG and BW were evaluated from birth up to 180 days. The data were analyzed by general linear models in the SAS 9.3 program and Tukey test for comparison of means. There was no statistical difference between the treatments for ADG and BW. Equal performance among treatments up to 180 days does not exclude the effects of maternal supplementation and can be explained by genetic factors and effects of the female until weaning.
