DESAFIOS DO AGRONEGÓCIO PIAUIENSE

The objective was to promote the survey of the main economic activities in a sample of municipalities of Piaui. Through exploratory research applied in the survey of data through interview, with open and closed questions interviewed public agents from fourteen municipalities of Piaui. Although edaphoclimatic conditions are the main challenge of Piauí agribusiness growth, the lack of technical information is still an important constraint. It is concluded that the strength of Piauí agribusiness comes from its culture, typically rural and linked to the countryside. Still, limited by the non-use of technologies to overcome the climatic challenges, as expected, but also by the lack of technical information to the producers
