Resumo

Abstract: Silage is a very studied process and its main objective is to maintain the bromatological quality of the silage material and is currently a large volume of significant importance for milk production. This work aimed to evaluate the quality and cost of corn silage used in dairy production in the central region of Paraná. The silage samples were collected in four rural properties and sent to LaboExpert laboratory for chemical and bromatological analysis. The costs of producing these silages were also raised and tabulated. The analyzes were made of dry matter (DM), mineral matter (MM), ethereal extract (EE) and crude protein (CP), neutral detergent insoluble fiber (NDF), acid detergent insoluble fiber (FDA), lignin ), neutral detergent insoluble protein (PIDN), acid detergent insoluble protein (PIDA), soluble carbohydrates (CHOS) and total carbohydrates (TC). The cost per kg-1 of silage produced is not directly related to the better bromatological quality or the greater availabi
