COMPORTAMENTO INGESTIVO DE CABRAS LEITEIRAS GESTANTES ALIMENTADAS COM DIETA CONTENDO TORTA DE MAMONA DESTOXIFICADA

The ingestive behavior of Saanen and Anglo-Nubian pregnant goats fed with detoxified castor cake in place of soybean meal was evaluated. Three diets were used, one based on FS and the others with TMD detoxified by Ca (OH)2 and another by NaOH. There was an effect (P <0.05) of the diets on the DM intake, FDNcp and on feeding and rumination times. TMD, regardless of the alkaline product, influences the etiology of pregnant goats in confinement.
