Resumo

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of biscuit meal as an alternative to corn at different levels of substitution on the components not carcass of Morada Nova sheep. The diets were formulated to meet the requirements of lambs in the finishing phase with weight gain of 200 g d-1. Consisting of Tifton 85 grass hay (35 days), soybean meal and the biscuit meal (BM) replacing corn in 0, 15, 30 and 45%. Were Used Twenty Morada Nova sheep, castrated no male, with initial average age of four months and initial average body weight of 17 + 3.74 kg distributed in a completely randomized. The animals were slaughtered when they reached approximately 28 kg through stunning by brain concussion. Then, proceeded the evisceration and the individual weights of components not housing. The data were subjected to analysis of variance and regression. The diets did not influence (P>0.05) in the weights and yields of non-carcass components. The replacement of corn by biscuit meal until the level of 45% in the diet of Morada Nova sheep provides weight and yield of not carcass components similar to the diet containing only corn as an energy source.
