CARACTERÍSTICAS QUANTITATIVAS DA CARCAÇA DE CORDEIROS ALIMENTADOS COM ADITIVOS FITOGÊNICOS

The objective of this research was to evaluate the quantitative parameters of carcass from Ile de France lambs receiving diets without and with the inclusion of phytogenic additives (rosemary, green tea and oregano) using 32 lambs, with 20 kg of body weight, which were distributed in four treatments and eight replications, being slaughtered at 35 kg of body weight. The quantitative parameters was not influenced by the inclusion of the additives in the diets, with mean values of 16.95 and 16.46 kg for the hot and cold carcass weights, respectively, and 49.83 and 48.39% for the hot and cold carcass yields, the cooling losses were 2.87%. The quantitative parameters and the weight and yield of lambs cuts of Ile de France lambs receiving diets with phytogenic additives from rosemary, green tea and oregano extracts were similar, with values considered adequate.
