CARACTERÍSTICAS ESTRUTURAIS EM GENÓTIPOS DE UROCHLOA spp.

The objective was to evaluate 27 genotypes from the genus Urochloa for agronomic traits in the North of Minas Gerais. Were evaluated 25 genotypes and two control cultivars (Urochloa brizantha cv. Marandu and Urochloa spp. cv. Convert HD364) in a randomized block design with three replicates The genotype T1709 had higher plant height and did not differ from another six plants. Its value was 17.60% superior then the overall mean. The genotype BARG152 showed the higher leaf/stem ratio and did not differ from another seven genotypes, including the control Convert HD-364. Its value (8.80) was 84.87% superior then the overall mean. In the number of tillers, were observed two groups of genotypes. Twelve plants including the control Convert HD-364 showed higher values for number of tillers. The genotypes BARG152, BARG153, BARG154 and T1713 had the highest potential in function of it structural characteristics.
