CARACTERISTICAS ESTRUTURAIS DA Macrotyloma axillare cv. JAVA SUBMETIDA A ADUBAÇÃO NITROGENADA

The objective of this study was to evaluate the productive and structural characteristics of Macrotyloma axillare cv Java submitted to different doses of nitrogen and in different periods of growth. The experiment was conducted in the greenhouse of the UESB, municipality of Itapetinga-BA. The experiment was conducted in a 4 x 4 factorial scheme, with four nitrogen doses (0, 40, 80 and 120 kg N / ha), four periods (0, 30, 60, 90 days) and four replications, arranged in a completely randomized, totalizing 64 experimental units. Leaflet length, leaf width, number of live leaves, leaves / branching, number of branches, length of petioles and height of plants were evaluated. The interaction was not significant between the nitrogen fertilization and the periods for the variables. The number of leaves and living length, leaflet width was quadratic for the period, without nitrogen fertilization effect. Macrotyloma axillare cv Java is recommended with the age of cut around 70 days due to the higher production of shoot, mainly leaves. Under the conditions of this experiment, the recommended nitrogen fertilization was 120 kg of N, as it did not cause any compromise in the growth and development of the plants.
