CARACTERÍSTICAS AGRONÔMICAS DO SORGO CONSORCIADO COM CUNHÃ E PIATÃ NO SISTEMA DE INTEGRAÇÃO LAVOURA PECUÁRIA

The development of the research had the objective of evaluating the
agronomic characteristics of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) intercropped with Cunhã
(Clitorea ternatea) and Brachiaria brizanta cv Piatã, and only sorghum with Cunhã.
The present work was conducted at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and
Technology of Ceará, Boa Viagem campus. Total precipitation of the survey year
(2017) in the area was 435 mm, the highest rainfall was in february and march. The
variables analyzed for Sorghum were panicle number (m2), panicle size (cm) and
total panicle weight (g) based on the mean data of 4 replicates of random samples in
the experimental plot. The obtained data were submitted to the statistical treatment
by means of the test T at 5% of probability (P≤0.05). The data found in the research
show that sorghum consortium with wedge in the absence of piatan increased
sorghum panicle size (P> 0.05), and the type of consortium did not affect the other
variables (P <0.05). According to the research, it can be concluded that when one
wants to produce heavier achenes, one can use any treatment.
