Resumo

Botulism is a condition controlled by toxin C, by Clostridium botulinum, which is responsible for the disease. It is a disease that affects most poultry species and leads to fatal paralysis. The main clinical signs that birds present include neck sagging with inability to support the head without support, without feathers and flaccid paralysis of the wings. O is based on clinical signs or toxin identification. There is no specific treatment effective against a disease. The objective of this work is to report a case of botulism in a woman who suffered a sign fall, and the flaccid paralysis, which was subjected to euthanasia. The company is processing a farm in the municipality of Uberaba-MG and has a place with access to sewage and a swine feces. It is concluded that the management is fundamental as a prophylactic measure, removing an organic matter where the birds have water and water of quality.
