BIOMETRIA DE CABRITOS SAANEN INTEIROS TERMINADOS COM O USO DE UREIA

In order to evaluate the effect of urea inclusion on the kid diet on body and scrotal development, 18 kids were divided into two groups with isoprotein diets. The control group did not receive urea and the experimental group received 1% MS in the diet. Body and testicular biometrics were evaluated. There were no significant differences in any of the studied variables (p> 0.05), such as: thoracic perimeter (WC: 73.0 ± 1.2 vs GC: 74.5 ± 0.57), body length ) (GU: 74.0 ± 1.42 vs GC: 73.67 ± 0.70), scrotal circumference (cm) (GU: 24.44 ± 0.99 vs. GC: 25.11 ± 0.40). It is concluded that the use of 1% of urea in the diet of young male goats does not negatively affect the biometric characteristics of whole Saanen goats.
