AVALIAÇÃO DO CONSUMO DA CARNE DE FRANGO NO MUNICÍPIO DE ITAPIPOCA-CE

Chicken meat is one of the main protein sources to human diet. Therefore, our objective was to evaluate chicken meat consumption in Itapipoca city, Ceará State, Brazil. The data were obtained from questionnaires applied through online platform, with 95% confidence level and 5% sample error. The survey revealed that 56.9% of interviewees eat in their residence from 2 to 5 kilograms of chicken meat per week. Itapipoca citizens consider the affordable price and the nutritional value knowledge the main characteristics to acquire chicken meat.
