Performance Evaluation of Cloud Computing

Favoritar este trabalho

Cloud computing has evolved to appear as a widely compute as a service offering model, reaching users in the industry and academia, as well as being massively adopted for personal use. The provision of computing resources by cloud providers occurs at various levels, from pure computational infrastructure (or capacity) to ready-to-use applications. At these various levels, the cloud user expects to receive a service of a certain quality, reflected by the quality of service (QoS) criteria agreed with the provider. In order to offer in the service level agreement (SLA) criteria that can be met, the cloud provider must consider the performance of its computational resources. In this project we will perform a performance evaluation of computational resources in a private cloud, whose underlying hardware is known, and then compare it to the computational resources offered by public cloud providers.
