In the context of new arrangements brought by the 1988 Constitution, the idea of expanding the application of intersectoriality as a way of overcoming the fragmentation of public policies in a social scenario of growing complexity gains strength. Based on the assumption that there are different definitions around this concept, the present research project aims at mapping, systematizing what the authors understand about the subject, also identifying the assumptions and challenges pointed out in the literature for its application in the field of public policies. It is a theoretical research that uses a bibliographic survey, with subsequent production of both scientific and dissemination texts, in this case being made available for public consultation, especially for managers interested in the application of intersectoriality.
