X-ray quarter wave plate for magnetic dichroism
This projects fits in the strategy to develop experimental stations in the current synchrotron light source that can be moved, without modifications, to the under construction one. The main goal of this project is to use a X-ray 1/4 wave plate to convert linearly polarized X-rays into circularly polarized for efficient magnetic circular dichroism experiments at magnetic fields of up to 6 T. The complete experimental set-up to use the 1/4 wave plate was desinged and it's already been comissioned.
