Obesity and type 2 diabetes is associated with insulin resistance and hyperinsulinemia. Two process regulates the insulin plasm concentration: insulin secretion and clearance, the last one depends on IDE (insulin degrading enzyme). TUDCA is synthetized into the liver has a known function in the glucose homeostasis improving insulin resistance and increases insulin secretion. The effect of TUDCA on insulin clearance is still unknown, so we investigate the modulation of IDE by TUDCA.
