Sugarcane bagasse hydrolysis at high solids concentration

Favoritar este trabalho

The purpose of this research is to find alternatives to high consistency enzymatic hydrolysis of pretreated sugar cane bagasse, aiming the yield of high concentrations of glucose. This objective is related with the effort to turn the second generation ethanol (2G) into a more feasible process. At the end of the project it was possible to develop a five-step method, based on enzymatic adsorption and separation processes, which resulted in hydrolysate with glucose concentration as high as 144 g/L.
