ENERGY EXPENDITURE: IS HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING (HIIT) BETTER THAN CONTINUOUS AEROBIC TRAINING?

Favoritar este trabalho

High intensity interval training (HIIT) has been seen as an efficient method at cardiorespiratory enhancement in comparison to continuous aerobic training (CAT). It is believed that such differences could be explained by assessing energy expenditure through training sessions. Thus, in order to test this hypothesis it was realized an acute intervention in healthy young men with a cross-over design. Our results indicate that total caloric expenditure was similar between sessions.
