This study consists on an experimental research with literature review. It aims to define a method to tackle the Dynamic Facility Layout problem, as well as to evaluate the efficiency and meaningfulness of the presented model which was solved using genetic algorithms and SCILAB programming. The results obtained managed to prove the efficiency of genetic algorithms for solving the problem discussed, as satisfactory solutions could be found with relatively low computer processing time, thus cost.
