Designing structures with lower volumes is an engineering problem often faced. One method to solve this is the BESO (Bi-direction Evolutionary Structural Optimization), which can obtain structures with low volumes, while mantaining good properties, by removing and adding elements to the domain. In this work, the BESO was used along with a Lagrangian multiplier in order to solve a multi-objective optimization problem with an additional inequality constraint.
