Micro-structural cerebral damage in hereditary spastic paraplegia caused by SPG4 mutations (SPG4-HSP)
Hereditary spastic paraplegia caused by SPG4 mutations (SPG4-HSP) is the most common form of the disease. However, little is known about its encefalic impairment. We aimed to identify micro-structural white matter damage in SPG4-HSP.Diffusion tensor images of patients and healthy controls were acquired.A comparison was performed using TBSS in FSL v4.1.4 software; a two sample t-test was used to identify differences between these groups.Patients present damage in motot and non-motor brain areas.
