    Carbon concentration at death.

Publication: Potential for carbon sequestration in soil under forest and pasture with different times and levels of intensification in the Eastern Amazon

I read the summary of your study and found it very surprising, especially the point highlighting a higher concentration of carbon at depth than at the surface. What causes this? Is it due to a higher concentration of oxygen and microorganisms at the surface, which then rapidly degrade the carbon present?
