KINETIC PARAMETERS CORRECTION IN FED-BATCH FERMENTATION

The addition of substrate and pH control solutions as well as collection of samples, during cultures in bioreactors, can significantly lead to errors in the measured kinetic parameters, such as specific growth rate and yield conversions. Working in terms of mass can also represent error if sample collection is performed. Thus, though a numerical example, this work provides details of the effect of dilution on the kinetic parameters and a corrective calculation is proposed.
