CHARACTERIZATION OF RESIDUE FROM PAMONHA FOR PRODUCTION BIOETHANOL
The concern with the environment and the demand for products from renewable sources makes biofuels, which are produced from biomass, an alternative to the global dependence on oil products, and plant biomass, entire plants, straw or agricultural waste an inexhaustible source of liquid fuel. In addition, the use of agricultural waste contributes by ensuring the sustainability of production and reducing environmental pollution. In this sense, the present study aimed to characterize the residue of the process of making pamonha, for the production of second-generation bioethanol. To this end, we used traditional methodologies and the AOAC (Association of Official Agricultural Chemists) to characterize the material determining moisture, ash, insoluble and soluble lignin content, holocellulose, α-cellulose, hemicellulose, and elemental analysis. Getting substantial and favourable for fermentation.
