AQUEOUS TWO-PHASE SYSTEMS BASEAD ON [C2min]OAc AND ORGANIC SOLVENTS
This study examined the formation of an aqueous two-phase system (ATPS) based on ionic liquid – IL (1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate ([C2min]OAc) and organic solvents in order to promote a simple recovery method (liquid-liquid). The binodal curves were determined at 25 °C and atmospheric pressure. The ability to form ATPS, followed the order of hydrophobicity of the solvents used.
