INGRESSO E MORTALIDADE DE UMA FLORESTA ESTACIONAL SEMIDECIDUAL ENTRE OS ANOS DE 1996 E 2018

The objective was to evaluate the recruitment and mortality of tree species in a fragment of Seasonal Semideciduous Forest in Minas Gerais. Recruitment was higher than mortality until 2003, where the biggest difference was during 1998-2001. In 2013-2018, there was the highest percentage of recruitment, 4.39% per year, but in the same period there was the highest mortality rate, 6.55% per year. At the ecological group level, it was observed that the SI and ST species, respectively, have the highest rates of recruitment and mortality in the fragment. During the 22 years of analysis, the fragment had a higher mortality rate than recruitment.
