RULES FOR SUBMISSION OF SCIENTIFIC WORK
  1. Abstracts related to the area of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases will be accepted in the following categories:
    • Original work - medicine category and multidisciplinary category
    • Case report - medicine category and multidisciplinary category
    • Review article - medicine category and multidisciplinary category
       
  2. Only original works in the Medicine and Multidisciplinary categories will compete for the Sender Miszputen Award for best scientific work at the Congress. For more information about the Award, please consult the Award Notice HERE.
  3. All abstracts must be submitted electronically through the congress link, “Scientific Papers” tab.
  4. The submission of the paper for the 2nd Brazilian Week of Inflammatory Bowel Disease implies that the author(s) accepts all the conditions described in the submission rules of this notice..
  5. At least one of the authors/co-authors must be registered for the congress.
  6. The name of the presenter of the work must be indicated.
  7. Submission period: 05/01/2021 to 06/15/2021 (extended deadline)
  8. Disclosure of the works approved at the Congress and disclosure of the finalist works for the award: until July 18, 2021.
  9. The accepted poster will be displayed online during the 2nd Brazilian Week of Inflammatory Bowel Disease of the GEDIIB to be held from August 17th to 21st, 2021, in virtual format.
  10. Authors must send the electronic poster of the accepted paper for presentation by 07/23/2021. The guidelines for preparing the poster are specified below.
  11. Certificates will only be issued for the works actually exhibited at the event.
  12. Cases not covered by this Notice will be analyzed by the Organizing Committee.

HOW TO PREPARE THE SUMMARY

  1. Each abstract must have a maximum number of 400 words (not counting bibliographic references).
  2. The abstract must be typed in a single body, and the author is suggested to follow the sequence: Introduction, Objective, Methods, Results and Discussion/Conclusion.
  3. In the Case Report, the abstract should follow the sequence: Introduction, Objective, Report of the case(s) and Discussion/Conclusion.
  4. The names of the authors or the place where the research was carried out must not appear in the body of the abstract to avoid identifying the authors in the Paper Selection Phase.

HOW TO PREPARE THE ORAL PRESENTATION

  1. Only the 3 best works in the categories a) Original work Clinical/Surgical/Epidemiological Category; b) Original work Experimental Category/Basic Science; c) Original work Multidisciplinary category will be selected for oral presentation during the 3rd Brazilian Congress of DII. (See notice about the Sender Miszputen Award).
  2. The presentation will be in power point format. We suggest the following presentation sequence: Title, authors and Institution; Introduction and Objectives; Methodology; Results; Discussion and Conclusions.

HOW TO DESIGN THE ELECTRONIC POSTER

  1. The poster must be produced in PDF
  2. The poster must be structured contemplating the following subtitles (when applicable):
    a) Title presented in capital letters, bold and centered
    b) Name(s) of the author(s). Underline the name of the main author
    c) Institutional affiliation (home institution where the work was developed, city and state)
    d) Introduction, Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion and Bibliographic References (maximum three)
