Human nature activities are intrinsically related to the vulnerability of areas located in major population centers. In the case of the metropolitan region of Goiânia, actions related to human development require careful analysis, considering that a region becomes susceptible to any vulnerability when it is exposed to external interference mechanisms to it incidents. In this context the following work promotes a processing of data to the map of environmental vulnerability of the metropolitan region of Goiânia. The data processed for the mapping of this work, where the one referring to the altimetry came from interpolations, were essential for the mapping of the drainage network, facilitated the production of digital elevation models consistent hydrologically that made it possible to obtain other data for the mapping of vulnerability of the metropolitan region, such as the topographic moisture index, which shows the locations where relief more retains moisture as the relief form, and may be water recharge areas or wetlands and possible flooding, factor that indicates a possible vulnerable area. In this way, the information relating to pedology, the shallow water table or aquifer, free to use and occupation of the soil in the basins, among others, were parameters that complemented the data for categorized mapping environmental vulnerability to the metropolitan region of Goiânia.
