Identificação e análise dos fluxos vulcânicos utilizando técnicas de Sensoriamento Remoto: Um estudo de caso sobre o vulcão Osorno – Chile
Abstract: Volcanoes exist all over the world, especially in active tectonic areas. Volcanic eruptions may cause problems for those who live next to them due to lava flow, pyroclastic flow, ash, gas and lahar. Therefore this study aims to understand the risks and hazards associated with volcanic eruptions and its effect in human population. Color compositions and the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) were made with Landsat 7 images. NDVI was used to calculated to the difference between vegetation and volcanic deposits, using ENVI 5.3 software. Further processing included segmentation image classification, based on visual interpretation, using the E-cognition software. The final map of lava flows and lahar was prepared using Arcgis 10.3. The results show that all active volcanoes represent risks for those who live next to them. As a consequence, constant monitoring of these risks areas is necessary as well as alert local population. The Remote Sensing techniques used were effective for volcanic monitoring. Palavras chave: Risk, hazard, Volcanic flow, Desaster, Perigo, Risco, Produtos vulcânicos, Desastres.
