Análise Multitemporal do Uso e Ocupação do Solo em Áreas de Preservação Permanente (APP) na Bacia do Rio Piranha, São Miguel do Guaporé-RO.

The main objective of this study was to quantify the Permanent Preservation Areas in bodies of waters and springs and evaluate the conflict in land use of the Piranha River basin, according to the New Brazilian Forest Code Law 12,651, through processing techniques digital Geographic Information System images. Orbital images were used sensor TM / Landsat-5 (1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010), Spot-4 (2012) and OLI / Landsat-8 (2014) and the SRTM mission. It was found that the PPAs in the rivers and springs cover an area of 296.22 ha, representing 4% of the total basin area, whose total area is 7405.16 ha. During the analyzed interval (1990-2014), a quantified deforestation 4270.51 ha (57.66%) of the forest cover of the basin. It was found that there 65.64 (22.16%) of APP have been cleared. The main land use in the basin is pasture with 4966.61 ha (67.06%).
