Abstract

Maranhão has a wide variety of ecosystems and biomes due to its location. Although fire is part of the evolution of some ecosystems, the increase in its frequency brings negative impacts both environmental and socioeconomic. This article aims to analyze the following fire products: MCD64A1, GABAM, MAP BIOMAS FIRE and FIRE_cci and their relationships with land use and land cover. The methodology used images from the MapBiomas database collection 7 for the year 2015. It is possible to observe that the product that identified the largest burned area was Fire_cci, with Forests being the most affected and damaged by fire.
