Resumo

Understanding leaf phenology patterns and the drivers that regulate them is critical to climate change studies. In this manner, this study aimed to analyze leaf phenology patterns by near and orbital remote sensing (RS) and their relation to environmental variables. We found that the Seasonally Dry Tropical Forests site analyzed exhibited a deciduous pattern on three different observation scales that responded primarily to cumulative rainfall. The start of the growing season between near and orbital RS showed differences of seven days, which was mainly affected by the low temporal resolution and high cloud incidence in the orbital RS
