Resumo

Fluvial systems like Madeira River offer a combination of factors that makes it difficult to retrieve accurate remote sensing information about biophysical parameters observed in the water. To reduce these effects, the scientific community has improved the use of atmospheric correction models. The goal of this paper is to compare the performance of atmospheric correction methods provided by ACOLITE in Sentinel-2 imagery from Santo Antônio power plant reservoir, belonging to the Madeira River Basin. The results showed that performance are in accordance to assumptions, atmospheric conditions and SSC range. In this paper, the Dark Spectrum Fitting proved one more time that is more suitable in aquatic systems that contain a wide variety of watercolors to consider the use of different bands to recover the AOT conditions.
